Halloween is a fun time of year for both adults and children alike. Halloween is a time for eating many different types of fun candy, as children go from house to house gathering more and more sweets while enjoying the holiday and the joy of this celebration.

Muddy Buddies

One great treat you can make is Halloween Muddy Buddies. These tasty treats are absolutely delicious. They are made by mixing together candy corn, chocolate chips, Kit Kats, Chex cereal, edible eyeballs, candy skulls, sprinkles, butter, vanilla extract, powdered sugar and peanut butter. Mix the peanut butter, chocolate chips and regular butter together. Microwave for about 1 minute, then stir in the vanilla extract. The next step is to mix chocolate with the Chex cereal and add sugar to the cereal so that all the pieces are evenly coated. Finally mix in the candy, eyeballs and the sprinkle. The Halloween Muddy Buddies can now be stored in an airtight container.

Rice Krispie Mummy

The rice krispie mummy treat is simple to make. You make this by using rice krispie treats, white chocolate chips; black edible icing or you can use red food coloring. Microwave the chocolate chips for 2 minutes and then stir, and then continue to microwave for about 20 seconds or until all the chocolate has melted. Next, take the rice krispie treat and dip it in the chocolate so that the front and sides are coated with the chocolate. Then place these in the fridge or freezer for about 2 to 3 minutes so they can cool. Now put the remaining melted chocolate into a zip lock bag. Take the treats out of the fridge and now cut a corner of the bag. Now drizzle the melted chocolate over the treats. Use black icing or red food coloring to make a pair of eyes on the treat.

Spooky Candy Apples

Another great tasting easy to make Halloween treat is to make spooky candy coated apples. All you need is a couple of apples without stems, a bag of white chocolate candy melts and semisweet dark chocolate chips. First you need to place a piece of parchment on a baking sheet. Use cooking spray and place a pop stick through the top part of each apple. Melt the white candy in the microwave for about 3 minutes or until all the chocolate pieces have melted into a smooth white paste. Dip apples into the bowl of melted chocolate until the apples are fully coated with the chocolate. Then you need to melt the dark semisweet chocolate chips in the microwave. Place this liquid into a ziplock bag. Cut a corner of the bag and use this end to carefully add the mouth and eyes to each apple. In the end, you will have yummy-tasting spooky candy-coated apples that are sure to delight the trick-or-treaters.

These are just a few of the simple Halloween treats that you can make this year for your Halloween celebration.
